On September 23th the UN Climate Change Summit 2019 took place in New York. The latest analysis shows that if we act now, we can reduce carbon emissions within 12 years and hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C and even, as asked by the latest science, to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

An initiative of the #FridaysForFuture community is the Week4Climate. The goal was to strike from 21th September till 27th September and speak specifically about the topic of the climate crisis. On their website they write:

"The Action Week calls for a consistent climate policy. The motto of #week4CLIMATE is: "Seven days - seven topics - one goal: the salvation of the earth". Every day a focus demonstration is carried out, in which a thematic connection to the respective subject area exists. With actions such as workshops, film evenings, educational games or podium discussions, we want to show how multifaceted and beautiful the earth is and to what extent it is destroyed by man. "

To talk more about sustainability we wrote Kaffeeform. The people of Kaffeeform were so nice and gave us a Weducer Cup and the Latte Cup & Saucer to try.

Kaffeeform combines design and aesthetics with sustainability and conservation of resources and strives to inspire people to re-think consumer behavior. Kaffeeform products are durable, loyal companions, and particularly the award-winning WeducerTM cup shows how form and function can pave the way for sustainability in everyday life.

Kaffeeform is a sustainable material made from used coffee grounds and other renewable resources. As a coffee cup, it is given the perfect new life. Founded 2015 in in Berlin, Kaffeeform relies on short, green routes alongside local, social partners and production in Germany. It promotes the principles of the circular economy and reuse of raw materials.

You can find them next week at the Berlin Coffee Festival happening October 6th at Markthalle Neun.
Be there or be square.
